3. Site Content

You will need to provide a separate Word processor file for each Web page.
We prefer Microsoft Word, though we can convert virtually all word processing file types.
Please Send us your final version and not the draft of your text. (While we expect to make minor changes here and there after the Web pages are prepared, we charge extra to format and insert brand new text. Web pages which contain, content thats is more than an A-4 size page may be subject to additional charges, especially if they require a good deal of formatting.)
You may send graphics to us in either digitized form or hard copy photos which we will scan. Prepare captions for each photo. You may affix a Post-It Note to the photo to indicate its caption and which Web page it goes on.

Domain Name & Hosting must be registered through your Hosting Provider and approved by InterNIC before you can use it. If you choose to have iConceptua Technologies Inc register your site and do the hosting, we will register with InterNIC for you, and you will be billed on top of Web Design fees. Current fees is $100 per year.

8. Registering & Advertising Your Web Site

We submit your information to Web search engines to "register" your Web site after final payment is received. In order to gain effective placement in search engines and directories, we need the following:

Write a concise, carefully thought out description of your company, products and/or services. This statement should be 25 words or less, and convey clearly why potential customers should consider your company.

Supply a list of any and all key words and phrases which potential customers might use to find your business. For example, Netcom Design Inc. would use words and phrases such as web design, web hosting, Internet services, graphic design, etc. Don't forget to include your City and Province, as well as any recognizable trademark/copyright names.

10. Marketing

Once your site is built you will need to let people know it exists. We recommend that you include your web site address on all company stationery, business cards, advertisements, brochures, flyers, postcards, and any other place you can think of to put it including but not limited to: your car bumper, your storefront window, any press releases, any custom bags or boxes you use to package your products.

11. Support / Maintenance

Marketers suggest that a successful web site will cost as much per year in maintenance as it originally cost to develop (please see our iStay On Top support package services). Fresh content is necessary for repeat business. Your site may or may not require this much maintenance. A "Information" site will require less maintenance than a "Shopping Cart" web site. However, you should plan and budget for some maintenance costs. Such as:

Text content on diskette or as an e-mail attachment. We prefer Word for Windows, but can translate nearly any word processing format. If text is provided as hardcopy, data entry fees will be billed at the hourly rate over 250 words per page.
Photos and graphics on diskette, ZIP disk (to be returned) in any of the following formats: GIF, JPG, BMP, PCX. We can also scan photos and graphics for you.
A check for at least 40% of the total.
